At Kennedy Middle School, all 5th and 6th graders recieve general music but are required to choose between band or chorus as a class during the school day. General Music is also offered to 7th and 8th graders as an alternative to band or chorus. In 5th and 6th grade, general music meets 3 days out of a 6 day cycle for one trimester. In 7th and 8th grade, general music meets 2 times out of a 6 day cycle for the whole year.
