Baseball

Baseball has been a passion of mine ever since I was young. I loved everything about it, especially hitting. It is the only sport that I have played my entire life, and I'm so glad that i still play it today. This year I was on the freshman baseball team at Natick High, and primarily played third base. The picture above is me batting against my brother in a scrimmage with his AAU team, Fury. Thankfully I hit a single; he wouldn't have ever let me hear the end of it if I had gotten out. This summer I will play Lou Tompkins baseball and hopefully next year I will play on JV at NHS.

This year I joined the wrestling team at Natick High School. They put me through the most difficult workouts that I had ever done, and taught me a lot about wrestling. I knew zero moves before the season started, but after hours of drilling, I had gotten pretty good. Although my record of 6-15 doesn't show it, I was actually pretty good by the end of the year. My first eight matches came during the first month when I knew nothing about wrestling, but after that i was 6-7, not bad for a first year guy. I started the season at the 145 weight class but soon moved down to 138 and finally 132 by the end of the year. In the JV tournament at the end of the season, I won 2 matches and got 3rd place in my weight class. I never thought that i would do wrestling, but it turns out to be fun, albeit a lot of hard work.
