Photoshop Project

Photoshop is a very important tool to be able to use as a web designer because it can help enhance images, resize them, or save them for the web. At the beginning of this semester we were introduced to photoshop through the photoshop magazine cover project. Our assignment was to use copy a magazine and pose for the picture on the front. We then had to redo the magazine from scratch. During this project I enjoyed learning about photoshop and the different tools that it provided. The most useful tool that I used during this project was the magnetic lasso tool. This is a selector tool that sticks to borders within a photo. It was especially helpful when trying to select my body from the original photo to have a transparent background. I also learned about layers and how to edit the look of a photo. Most importantly, I learned how to resize images and save them for the web. I used this multiple times when creating my website, especially with my hero picture.
