Pat Conaway is a retired teacher who lives in west Natick. He is the founder of Big Heart Little Feet, an organization to help others and leave small footprints on the earth.
Carole Berkowitz is a retired Special Ed Teacher and the Chair for Protect Our Water Resources. (POWR), a key citizens group that for the past decade has battled to protect Natick’s Town drinking water (the aquifers for which lie beneath Lake Cochituate). POWR has joined with other groups to find safer alternatives to herbicides to deal with invasive weeds in the Lake.
Wynn Calder directs Sustainable Schools, LLC (www.sustainschools.org), which works primarily with K-12 independent and private schools to build sustainability and environmental literacy into strategic planning, teaching and institutional practice.
Mike Lowery has been a member of the Wayland Surface Water Quality Committee for years and has been active in invasive species control. WSWQC has organized programs for invasives control in Wayland's great ponds using combinations of methods: hand- harvesting, DASH, barriers, herbicide, and nutrient controls.
