Magazine Cover

The magazine cover asignment was the first assignment we were given after being introduced to photoshop. We were tasked with taking an existing magazine cover and recreating it with ourselves on the cover. Being a dapper young man I chose GQ, otherwise known as Gentlemans Quarterly. I had to crop a picture of me and put it in place of the person already on the cover. Then I had to come up with article names and fill those in to their proper spots. I also had to create my own barcode! I got a 94% on it, so all in all it was a success.

Album Art

This album cover was actually a personal project for myself. On January 2, 2016 I uploaded a song to the streaming platforms iTunes, Apple Music, & Spotify. But you can't just put a song onto those services without some type of cover picture. So I went to the internet to find some pictures symbolic of my songs title which is Next Up. So I found a picture of curtains and realized, in an opera or play the curtains open & close before the next act or scene. So I figured it was perfect symbolism, and because of everything I learned in Web Design, it was simple to add my artist name, the song name, the parental advisory, and my group logo.

This Website

I believe in paying Homage where it's due, so I have to give credit to Brody Mistrot for the design idea for my home page. Everything else was completely original. The color scheme idea came from the fact that my favorite color is gold. Gold represents money in the purest form, I even died my hair gold to show my aprreciation for the color. The black and white were chosen because I feel they compliment the gold excellently. The div layouts for my site were chosen because I feel like the divs for each page are best for displaying the information on each enclosed. The borders on every page make it alot easier to distinguish between each section of the page. Without borders everything would look like one giant div, and the seperation is needed. As well as the font I chose, while vey similar to arial, it is trebuchet ms, while hardly noticeable it rounds off some of the characters and adds different stylings to other characters. I Think this website is a success!
