A Walk Through The Woods

Photography/Art
I shoot all my pictures with a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS. Although I take many pictures, I only end up keeping about one for every ten pictures I take. My camera goes almost everywhere with me in case I happen to see a perfect moment for a photo. When the opportunity arises, I will photograph almost anything. However, my favorite subjects include animals, flowers, and landscapes. Lately, I have been taking more notice in the smaller things, such as insects. It is really different and eye-opening, photographing from their perspectives. I especially like photographing bees, as they are most often seen as something to be feared and I try bringing them into an artistic light instead, showing off their actually beauty.
Animals
Animals
If I had to pick what my favorite subject of all time was, it would be animals. I love the fluid motions and the vibrant colors. I really enjoy photographing insects and birds, mainly because they are able to fly with such grace. Showing people that insects are not something to be feared, but something to be embraced is an art form in itself. Some of my best pictures would fall under this category.
Landscapes
Landscapes
I love taking landscapes, especially the ocean. Quite a few of the pictures come from one of my favorite places, Cape Cod. Also, many of the pictures are from the France Trip that I went on over April Vacation this year. Probably my favorite part of the trip was Southern France, especially when we were by the Mediterranean Sea.
Flowers
Flowers
Flowers are another one of my favorites. Without some animals, there would be no flowers and that might be why so many pictures of animals also involve flowers. Flowers are exceptionally vibrant in a sometimes dull and boring world; being an artist, I love their colors. Even flowers that are past their blooming stage make for interesting photographs.
