Basketball
I can't remember the first time I played basketball. I think it was in kindergarten when I played in a league at the YMCA. I loved the sport from the very beginning. After the YMCA, I played in the Natick Rec Department league. Rec really helped me improve my skills as a player. It gave me the basics that I needed to play the game. In sixth grade I started to play for the Natick Travel Team. I had a great time playing. I got to play with all of my friends and I improved my skills even more. The competition was very tough. I loved playing and competing.
Freshman year of high school, I tried out for the basketball team. Luckily, I made the freshman team. The other kids that tried out were very good and I was so grateful that I made the team. Once the season started, it was all buisness. My teammates and I had a lot of fun but we also worked very hard. I think that everyone on the team improved ovet the course of the season. I hope to improve my game and hopefully be able to play for the junior varisty and varsity teams in the future.
